The Villa has 7 unique rooms each with their own feel and character. Our collection includes two spacious interconnecting Family Suites, an Ocean Suite with 270 degree views of the property and ocean; and a ground floor room with direct access to the pool deck.

Food and drink play a pivotal role in Speldewinde family hospitality. In fact, the Contemporary Ceylon brand started as a home chef venture run by Chef Andrew Speldewinde aimed at reinventing Sri Lankan food. At the Villa, guests can enjoy these modern interpretations of Sri Lankan cuisine along with a selection of familiar comfort foods. Our chefs are well versed in both Eastern and Western delicacies and can cater to your preferred palate. The bar offers a well curated drinks menu with a few cocktails crafted with local ingredients and spirits.
Our dinner program features a three-course menu with a mix of both traditional and modern options. The following morning, guests can choose a Western or Sri Lankan breakfast option accompanied by a selection of viennoiserie, preserves and fresh fruit. Rice and curry meals are available with a lot of the selections based on the Speldewinde family's very own Sunday lunch spreads!
Our food ethos is to provide dining experience, hitting the right balance of comfort, satisfaction and innovation. We also strive to keep our produce as local and as sustainable as possible. This includes ties with local fishermen and market vendors, patronising a nearby egg farm, beach foraging and the development of our own herb and vegetable garden on site.

Directions Via Galle Road - from Colombo
Upon reaching Wadduwa town you will pass the Wadduwa police station on the right-hand side. You will then turn right at the immediate junction onto Station Road.
Take the first left at the lane between two market stalls. Keep following this lane. You will come to a large open cricket field. Turn right and you will see the railway tracks. You will need to cross the tracks and take the lane closest to the railway crossing (slightly to the left once you cross the tracks). The Villa gate is right at the end of this lane.
Directions Via Galle Road - from the South
When driving along the Galle Road from the South, as you approach Wadduwa town you will pass a car tire and rim shop on the left-hand side. Take the first left turn immediately after which will lead you down Wasantharama Road. As you follow the road you will pass a temple and come to the railway tracks. Cross the tracks and turn right onto Samanthara road.
You will pass a large open estate with an old single-story house on your left. You will then pass The Reef on your left-hand side. You will approach the next railway crossing with a large cricket ground on the right-hand side. Just before the crossing stop sign, there is a lane to the left. Turn down this lane and the Villa entrance will be at the end.
